Link Dead
Yes, I know the link is dead, I’m working on it
New link to all the apps
So apparently filedropper removed the link, so I have reuploaded it, here’s the new one: http://www.filedropper.com/25appsinaug it’s the same link, but now it’s fixed. If filedropper removes it again I’ll upload it to the server that hosts matt’s apps
New site
So I have been busy making a site for all my applications to be on, here’s the link:
http://www.mattsapps.com/ (it SHOULD work without the www. but I’m not 100% sure, godaddy was acting up last night)
There you can also see some Mac applications that I’ve recently done (yea I’m moving to the mac as well! It’s just as easy believe it or not!)
I have also compiled a list of applications from this project that I will be releasing on the app store:
Step counter (after I do some graphical work to it, as well as modify the accelerometer code to make it a little more accurate. But I’m almost done with it)
Multi-light
Apps to be released on cydia:
Card counter
I hope to submit the two apps to the app store later tonight or tomorrow, and the cydia one, well, I’m not entirely sure when I’ll have that one up, but it’ll be soon.
Also I see that somebody (Derek Underwood) made a blog post about this project. You can see the blog post here: http://www.derekunderwood.com/general-computer/an-iphone-app-written-everyday-with-source-code/#more-104
Thanks Derek!
every app compressed
Here’s every application in the 25appsinaug project, this includes the mini app because that equals 25 (I did the step counter twice, once it didn’t work then I rereleased it so it worked)
Download it: http://www.filedropper.com/25appsinaug
enjoy! remember, if you write an app using code from this project I’ll be more then happy to review it, just email me with the app name, and if you charge for it please provide a redeem code for it.
App #25, The end!
The FINAL application in my 25appsinaug project is a tempature converter. Yes I know there is one open source version out there, however it’s extremely complicated. This one is dead simple, so simple ANYBODY can understand it.
Demonstrates:
-how to preform computations
-more label stuff (that’s the last time you have to hear it from me) -UITextFields -How to set the keyboard for the text field Screenshot:

Enjoy
Any comments, complaints, etc please email me at mrcomputermatt (at) gmail (dot) com
This was a fun project and I have learned a lot from it. Enjoy the extreme amounts of sample code that I have provided.
And if you release an application using my code, please email me and when I get a chance I will review it. I’ll create a review page with a list of applications YOU make and I’ll rate it (1-5, positives, negatives, etc.). And if you charge for your app please provide a redeem code and I’ll put the application on the top of the list for apps I will review.
Enjoy!
App #24
Today’s first app is a simple clock, made because I already did two epoch ones, so why shouldn’t I just have it display normal time in a format anybody can read!
Demonstrates:
-NSDate
-MORE LABEL STUFF (uggh I know)
-MORE timers (yes I know, more timers, woo hoo!)

Enjoy!!!

I will be finishing this “endeavor” tonight, where I will be releasing the final application at the local cocoaheads meeting.
App #23
Today’s app is one of those “I provide the keys and the door, you provide the house” type of application. It demonstrates the library picker as well as how to use the camera (unsure if it works, I don’t own an iPhone)
Demonstrates:
-UIImagePickerController

(image is part of the default images with the simulator)

Tomorrow I plan on finishing up 25appsinaug by releasing 2 applications.
App #22
Today’s app is something I did because I was bored. It’s a digg button.
Demonstrates:
-counters
-STILL MORE LABELS (sorry)
-NSTimer (somebody had trouble with it so I included it in this project)
-How easy it is to make an image “smart” (if you look at the .xib you would understand)
Screenshot:

(darn just realized interface builder lied to me I thought the backgrounds would match! oh well!)

App #21
Today’s app is a rerelease of the step counter application, however this time it actually works!!!!
Thanks to Andreas P. for the fix!!!
Demonstrates:
-accelerator
-counters

App #20
Wow, only 5 more to go!!!
Today’s application is a stopwatch. After searching for a sample, I couldn’t find one, so I made one! This stopwatch isn’t 100% accurate, however it’s close enough for day to day activities.
Demonstrates:
-counters
-how to repeat things (in this case every .01 sec, yea, it’s that fast!)
-start and stop buttons
-MORE label stuff (sorry)
Screenshot:

(sorry, no lap function, if you want it, add it, it’ll give you good practice!!!)

Enjoy!!!
